You can’t accomplish much just sitting on the couch. Success takes action.
Obviously, there is little you can learn from doing nothing.

Zig Ziglar Trivia
Hilary Hinton Ziglar (Zig Ziglar’s real name) was born on November 6, 1926 in Alabama and died on November 28, 2012 in Plano, Texas.
Mistakes Are Valuable
In school you’re graded on outcome. You’re rewarded for correct answers and penalized for wrong ones. The process doesn’t matter.
But the process, and the mistakes you make during the process, is where the real learning takes place. You learn by doing and making mistakes. I believe school should be the safe place to make those mistakes and learn.
The net result from school is that as adults we’re afraid to try anything new. We do what we know and that’s it. Further, we discourage our friends and our kids from doing anything new too.
We know we’re going to make mistakes along the way, and mistakes are bad, so we save ourselves the “badness” and don’t even try. So we do nothing. We stay in our lane.
Success Takes Action
But like Zig Ziglar said, there is little we can learn from doing nothing.
We’re not here to stay in our lane. We’re here to learn and grow, to prosper and be abundant, even in our mistakes.
Consider this, when you do the same thing over and over you might develop something called a repetitive motion injury. Your muscles and tendons wear themselves out from repeating the same motion. They need a variety of motions to stay healthy and strong.
Our brains needs the same thing, a variety of thoughts and experiences. To keep an healthy brain we have to try new things, make mistakes and learn.
