What Is A Fact?

We all care about and want to know the facts right? What is a fact?
I was listening to a recording of Dr. Richard Bartlett of Matrix Energetics and he said that the word “fact” comes from the Latin word “factum”, which means “made up”. I don’t know if that is true, but it did get me thinking about what we call facts.
In science, a fact is something that has been proven to be true. As we all know, science is disproving old facts and proving new facts all the time. So, at least from the perspective of science, a fact is just something that we believe to be true right now.
I am learning that what the law considers a fact doesn’t have to be true either. A legal fact is just a statement or belief that has not been disputed. Crazy.
Getting more metaphysical, what is true, or fact, for me may not be true for you or anyone else. For some, it has long been a fact that “money is the root of all evil” or that “the love of money is the root of all evil.” Is that true?
They are just ideas that somebody made up and convinced a bunch of people that they are true. They have a morphic field if you like.
A fact is just a very strong belief. If you want to play with a very powerful exercise, begin to question everything that you consider to be a fact.
For example, take the “fact” that grass is green. Is it? Sometimes it is brown, but let’s go deeper. Get into the physics of “grass is green.” The grass only appears to be green because it reflects the green part of the visible light spectrum that strikes it. Further, we only call it green because that is what we have labeled that frequency of light. We could have just as easily labeled it “pear” or “box”.
The point is, question everything that you believe to be true, especially the facts, and decide what is actually true for you. Better yet, decide what you would like to be true for you.
